Dr. Hala Zantout

Dr. Zantout earned her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the American University of Beirut (AUB), where she also completed her specialized training in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology at the AUB Medical Center. She further holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in Epidemiology from AUB.

With over 25 years of clinical experience, Dr. Zantout has practiced in leading healthcare institutions in Beirut, including Rafik Hariri University Hospital (RHUH) and Clemenceau Medical Center, where she also served in leadership positions such as Administrative Resident Coordinator and Head of the Division of Gastroenterology at RHUH.

Main areas of expertise include:

• Functional gastrointestinal disorders (functional dyspepsia and irritable bowel syndrome)

• Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)

• Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)

• Liver disease, with a particular focus on metabolic-associated liver disease (MASLD)
