Chinese Medicine

CURE Specialities

Chinese Medicine is a comprehensive medical discipline with multiple therapeutic facets, combining the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine with modern concepts of application. Similar to other forms of complementary and alternative medicine—such as osteopathy, homeopathy, and chiropractic care—Chinese Medicine has evolved over time to incorporate evidence-based practices alongside its traditional foundations.

At Advance Cure Diagnostic Centers, Chinese Medicine is practiced through an integrated and patient-centered approach, focusing on restoring balance, relieving pain, improving function, and supporting the body’s natural healing mechanisms. Treatment plans are individualized based on each patient’s condition, symptoms, and functional goals.

Chinese Medicine Applications Offered

A) Acupuncture
Acupuncture involves the use of fine needles of varying calibers and lengths, applied using different techniques to stimulate specific points and restore balance within the body. Techniques include:

  • Ear acupuncture

  • Hand acupuncture

  • Periorbital acupuncture

  • Electrical acupuncture

  • Intradermal acupuncture

  • Hot needle acupuncture

B) Manipulation Therapy
Manual manipulation focuses on treating muscular and soft tissue conditions at a local level. It is commonly used for neck spasms, back pain, and elbow disorders. Techniques such as stretching and transverse friction are applied to restore coordination between tight and relaxed muscle groups and improve mobility.

C) Cupping Therapy
Cupping is used to decongest tissues, reduce muscle spasms, relieve pain, and improve function. It is often performed as part of a combined treatment plan that may include heat therapy, manipulation, and acupuncture, helping to re-establish physiological balance (homeostasis).

D) Heat Treatment
Heat-based therapies help reduce muscle spasm, enhance circulation, and promote tissue healing. These treatments may include ultrasound therapy, basic laser application, heat lamps, hot compresses, or alternating hot and cold therapy when clinically indicated.

E) Therapeutic Exercises
Exercise programs are designed to ease muscle spasms, reduce tissue tension, and restore optimal muscle and joint function. Targeted strengthening and mobility exercises are applied regionally to improve performance, maintain function, and prevent recurrence of symptoms.

F) Additional Supportive Therapies
When appropriate, additional modalities may be utilized to enhance treatment outcomes. These may include muscle stimulation pads, traction therapy, and joint supports such as braces for the ankle, knee, or elbow.
